Alaska Highway MP 1267-1314 Rehabilitation This project will repair and/or rebuild sections of the Alaska Highway as will as include wayside improvements, bridge upgrades, drainage and guardrail upgrades. Fairbanks International Airport Heavy Cargo Apron This two year project will involve several interesting tasks. First, muck was required to be excavated from an old slough, replaced with gravel and compacted utilizing the dynamic compaction method. Construction of the apron will also require construction of a new ALSF building, relocation of approximately one mile of railroad track, and installation of a hydrant fueling system. Donnelly Battle Area Complex This project, located in an expansive area east of Fort Greely, will construct a small town-like setting with partially constructed buildings, underground culverts and other features for urban warfare training as well as several Stryker trails and Stryker target emplacements for Stryker training. Great Northwest, Inc. is responsible for all earthwork on this project as a subcontractor to Doyon-American, JV. This project encompasses just under 1,000 acres of improved grounds.
